Patan Multiple Campus

Patan Multiple Campus (PMC) was established on 2^nd September, 1954 under the ministry of education, HMG, Nepal. Being one of the constituent campus of Tribhuvan University, it is managed as per the rules and regulations of Tribhuvan University. It came into existence in order to fulfil the needs felt by some intellectuals to impact higher education to the youth. At present, Patan Multiple Campus runs Bachelors and Masters classes in English, Nepali, Economic, Sociology and Anthropology, Rural Development and Population in Humanities and Social Sciences, Master in Business Science (MBS) in Management and M.Sc. in Physics under Institute of Science and Technology (IST) to facilitate and give opportunities of getting higher education to the students coming from different parts of Nepal as well as abroad.

TU has introduced the decentralization program with the aim of making the campus independent and fully capable of managing it in proper direction by providing quality education on a sustainable basis. Being one of the largest colleges of the country,it imparts higher education to Nepalese youth to meet the growing need of mid-level and high-level manpower in professional, technical and managerial fields such as trade, industry, IT, computer and various other fields, that may contribute to accelerate the development process of Nepal. It moves towards self-sustained development with an emphasis laid on resource mobilization. Patan Multiple is committed to produce professional human resources in Economics, Sociology, English and Newari. Moreover, the campus is also making an attempt to develop the core of competent faculty members in the respective disciplines, hence providing them opportunities for Ph.D. degree, research, seminars, etc.
