Key Responsibilities
Accounting Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping Support: Support in maintaining accurate financial records by preparing journals, ledgers, and financial statements.
- Data Entry Support: Support in entering transactions such as purchases, receipts, and payments into accounting software.
- Bank Reconciliation Support: Support in reconciling bank statements with internal records to ensure consistency and assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
- Invoice Management Support: Support in generating, sending, and tracking invoices, as well as following up on payments.
- Expense Tracking Support: Support in monitoring and recording program expenses to ensure compliance with budgets. Collect, check, register and keep track of all forms incoming & outgoing invoices, travel claims, according to internal procedures and government law.
- Tax Preparation Support: Provide support in preparing and filing TDS under the guidance of senior accountants.
- Auditing Support: Support in providing documentation and assisting with internal or external audits.
- Payroll Support: Prepare payroll of staffs monthly by coordinating with the HR and finance.
- Compliance Monitoring Support: Support in ensuring adherence to financial regulations and organizational policies.
- Senior Accountant Support: Provide support to senior accountants by performing tasks such as preparing financial reports, trial balances, or analytical reports.
Field Responsibilities
- Bank Visits: Travel to banks for depositing cheques, cash withdrawals, or handling banking formalities.
- Client Interaction: Visit clients for discussions about accounts, collections, or invoice clarifications.
- Vendor Coordination: Deliver or collect documents, payments, or receipts from vendors or suppliers.
- Tax Office Visits: Travel to government offices for tax-related filings or submissions (if needed).
- Utility Payment Management: Pay utility bills, statutory dues, or other organizations- related payments.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (essential).
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in accounting or financial management.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in financial management software.
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
