RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage partnerships and activities of agribusiness companies.
• Support agribusiness companies to become more competitive and improve management efficiency.
• Design a implementation plan (including sustainability plan) and marketing plan to promote agriculture products especially targeting high-value international markets.
• Provide support to agribusinesses to significantly increase their sales especially export sales.
• Design and lead technical activities and deliverables for agri-businesses (encourage innovations, investment generation, and business models).
• Coordinate and collaborate with different project teams such as Objective 1, Objective 3, Grants, and Monitoring & Evaluation to facilitate growth in the agriculture sector.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s in economics, agribusiness, marketing, or other related field
• Minimum five years of project implementation experience with three years in agriculture marketing
• Proven experience working in the market systems development approach, value chain approach, and private sector development
• Sound understanding the agriculture sector (market, stakeholders and policy regulations) in Nepal 
• Experience in implementing donor-funded projects involving multiple partners and host country counterparts (preferably with USAID)
• Strong interpersonal, written, oral communication, and presentation skills in the Nepali and English language.
• Willing to work beyond work hours and or on the weekends if required (allowed flexibility on the other days) 
• Nepalese nationality.

Location: Kathmandu, with travel to other locations within the country as required.
