Job Responsibilities:

1. Quickly gain knowledge on the regulatory and market aspects of electricity including global best practices to be a part of ongoing discussions in the matter.
2. Prepare draft of reports, proposals, presentations, contracts, RFP, EOI, TORs, press releases, articles, etc.
3. Prepare or provide contribution to preparation of guidelines, policies, roadmaps, work-plan, etc. pertaining to electricity or electricity related associations.
4. Conduct secondary research on various areas pertaining electricity to provide inputs to various knowledge products such as discussion papers, presentations, notes, etc.
5. Perform fact checks, verifications, due diligence, etc. on information gained or submitted.
6. Deliver classes, presentations, perform interviews and be a part of discussion sessions aimed at capacity building of professionals of varying level of experiences.
7. Contribute to process of designing solution, process flows, etc.
8. Contribute to study on policy, regulatory and market aspects of electricity to provide recommendations to clients.
9. Conduct gap assessments and need assessments of various aspects pertaining to electricity and energy.
10. Provide inputs to solution design process leveraging on professional experiences.
11. Maintain relationships with various stakeholders and market players.

If you have:

• Have 2-4 years of rigorous experience in the electricity or associated areas such as renewable energy, electric mobility, electric cooking, energy management, hydrogen technology, electricity safety, power project financing and management, energy efficiency, smart metering, etc. Experience with hydropower projects, however brief, shall be an added advantage.
• Have a habit of regularly staying informed about Nepal’s electricity sector developments.
• Have a willingness to explore and contribute to various aspects of Nepal's electricity sector.
• Have patience and discipline to create large volume of original analytical content.
• Seek long-term growth opportunities in Nepal and the South Asian region.
