Education: 

• A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in project/programme management, administration or related area, or the successful completion of the Young Professionals Programme Examination (YPP)/United Nations National Competitive Recruitment Examination (NCRE) or the General Service to Professional Examination (G to P) is required. A minimum of one year of experience and knowledge in managing project life cycle is required. A minimum of one year of experience or knowledge in the field of disarmament, arms control and non-proliferation is desirable. Experience with education and youth empowerment is desirable. Experience in resource mobilization is desirable. Experience or knowledge of Asia and the Pacific is desirable.
• Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in international relations, international security, business administration, management, education, or related area. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Languages: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is desirable.
