Job Description
As a Billing Engineer, you will play a vital role in the financial management of construction projects by ensuring accurate and timely billing processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Billing Preparation: Prepare and review billing documents, including progress invoices, change orders, and final billing statements, in accordance with project contracts and milestones.
- BoQ Preparation: Create detailed BoQs and Work Breakdown Schedules based on construction drawings
- Cost Estimation: Collaborate with project managers and estimators to accurately estimate project costs and incorporate them into billing documents.
- Contract Compliance: Ensure that billing activities comply with contractual terms and conditions, including payment terms, retention clauses, and invoicing requirements.
- Documentation Management: Maintain organized records of billing documents, contracts, and correspondence for audit purposes.
- Client Interaction: Interface with clients to address billing inquiries, provide supporting documentation, and resolve disputes or discrepancies promptly.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Coordinate with subcontractors to verify work completed, approve subcontractor invoices, and reconcile billing discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in financial reporting activities by providing accurate billing data, revenue forecasts, and cash flow projections to support project budgeting and forecasting efforts.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline billing processes, improve billing accuracy, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Software: Input data and information on required ERP/Project Management Software
- Cost Vs Estimated Analysis: Perform ongoing analysis of cost vs estimate, earned value analysis, and other financial analysis and when required.
