Major Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Campaigns and Education Officer, the Campaigns & Education Assistant will be responsible for WWF Nepal’s conservation education and campaign programs that includes school outreach and the Generation Green (TGG) youth engagement programs.
S/he will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of various environment education programs, campaign plan and strategies, including outreach, partnership development and monitoring of programs under the portfolio on a regular basis. Coordinating with school principals, teachers, college network and all stakeholders for successful implementation of programs with regular visits to the field will be necessary.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in environmental sciences, forestry, natural resource management or related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience in working with children and young people, preferably in the environment domain.
The candidate is expected to understand the education system and knowledge of areas related to environmental science. The ideal candidate for this position should have a high level of attention to detail as well as enthusiasm for his/her work and the organization.
Good skills in Microsoft office programs along with excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills is required. Strong IT skills especially in designing tools is desirable. S/he should be effectively able to prioritize and work under time constraints, using initiative and judgement.
