We are looking for a Mid Level Chef to prepare meals for our Buddhist monastery:
Other Specification:
- Bachelor's degree in related field (BHM) / Postgraduate Diploma in Culinary Art.
- Certification in food safety and sanitation will be an advantage.
- Professional qualification in Culinary Arts or possess previous experience in Chinese restaurant/ Vegetarian Cuisine will be an advantage.
- At least 2 years of work experience in a professional kitchen involving in management role.
- Eager to learn vegetarian cuisine.
- Must be able to prepare and cook for large groups of people.
- Eligible candidates must have honest and sincere character without any drinking, smoking and other negative habits.
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to prepare all vegetarian cuisine dishes as per menu specifications and recipes.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the culinary team.
- Manage food costs and inventory.
- Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance.
- Label and organize all the cooked and uncooked food items in the fridge, pantry, and storeroom.
- Establish maintenance and cleaning schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas.
- Must be able to maintain the kitchen’s hygiene and sanitation.
- Organize and produce a menu for each week’s meal.
Work Hour and Benefits:
- Working Days: 6 Days a week
- Duty Hours: 8 Working Hours
