  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. An additional MBA degree will be considered an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role, preferably within the ISP or telecommunications industry.
  • Strong technical expertise in network infrastructure, internet technologies, and industry best practices.
  • Minimum of 10 years of practical experience in network, system development, and operation.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience of 5 years in technology management for ISP, Telecom, or MNO.
  • Extensive expertise in ISP and Telecom infrastructure, covering networking, computing, software, and communication protocols (such as IP Routing/Switching, MPLS), optical fiber networks (such as OTN, ODN, and PON systems)  and fixed wireless technologies.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various operating systems, software applications, database management, data centers, and cloud technologies.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure monitoring, management, and automation tools, including crisis, incident, and problem management processes, along with security measures.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic technology plans that align with business goals.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of mentoring, developing and hiring technology professionals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing technology budgets and resources.
  • Proven ability to excel in dynamic, and competitive environments, with a focus on achieving results.
  • Willingness to travel within Nepal as required and preference given to candidates with international exposure; Nepalis currently working abroad are encouraged to apply.

 

Job Description

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Stay updated on emerging technology trends and innovations in the ISP industry.
  • Lead technological research and development initiatives.
  • Manage the design, implementation, and management of the company’s network infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Ensure efficient operation of technical resources, including network operations, data center management, and customer support systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to implement technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement an infrastructure management strategy with clear objectives, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of system and network professionals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability.
  • Align the technology team with company goals and prepare them for future challenges.
  • Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • Manage technology-related risk practices, including data security, disaster recovery and regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as a key technology spokesperson, engaging with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to inform and support decision-making.
