Required Skills and Experience

Education:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environment, Climate Change, Energy Planning/Economics, Climate Finance or related field.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s with 4 years or Master’s with 2 years of proven experience of working on climate finance including private and international climate finance, public finance management, climate budget code and green finance
• Knowledge of climate change governance and country systems and experience of working with national planning and climate finance entities .
• Demonstrated understanding of the CFN’s six workstreams
• Regional working experience with I/NGOs, Private Sectors on Climate Finance
• Working Experience in the projects implemented in collaboration with Government agencies particualry Ministry of Finance, National Planning Commision , Ministry of Forests and Environment
• Project Management for quality and timely delivery
• Excellent analytical and writing skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Proven experience in overseeing and ensuring technical soundness of research and analysis
• Prior experience with UNDP, I/NGOS and knowledge of its policies, procedures and practice is an asset.
• Well versed in computer applications like Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and
• Good report writing skill is highly preferable.

Required Languages:

• Fluency in oral and written English and Nepali is essential.
