Academic Qualification:
- Masters of Science in Agriculture/Rural Development/Economics or relevant field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years proven experience in development sectors.
Age: Not exceeding 45 years as on application deadline.
Required Competency:
- Good communication & writing skills of Nepali & English.
- Good command over MS-office packages.
- Competent in working with senior level officials of GoN, donors and networks of development agencies;
- Understanding of issues related to gender, social inclusion and poverty alleviation
- Working experience in agriculture, livelihood, community development and experience of development project implementation in private sector will be an added advantage.
Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific tasks and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following;
1. Program planning & implementation:
- Overall responsible for identification, communication, development, application & negotiation with different NGO/INGOs projects.
- Take lead role in field implementation, monitoring and evaluation of existing development project implemented by company in coordination with Regional & field team.
- Responsible to coordinate with Muktinath Bank, Muktinath Foundation, Company’s and other stakeholders during planning & implementation of projects.
- Assist on outsourcing of development sectors consultant needed for different project.
- Monitor program implemented at the field level and take necessary action to ensure that expenses are done according to the activity norms within the agreed time limit.
- Maintain good relationship and effective coordination with company’s staffs and stakeholders;
- Represents MKCL in the relevant seminars, meetings, workshops related to development sector as assigned by supervisor.
- Support for the development of networks and other co-ordination activities with all concerned stakeholders at Local, Provincial and Federal level,
- Assist company management on all level of planning related to development sectors.
2. Company Management:
- Responsible to ensure the maximization of company’s business in the project areas.
- Take overall responsibilities of the project and its assets related to project ownership in coordination with relevant department.
- Ensures that administrative systems are established and maintained as per the requirement of MKCL & donor.
- Assist Admin and Finance team to prepares annual program budget and accommodate necessary revisions;
- Ensures that periodic progress reports and financial statements and reports are prepared within stipulated time;
- Assist Admin and Finance team to ensure quality and effectiveness of internal and external audits.
- Responsible to promote and enhance company’s brand and its product in the project areas.
- Be proactive in bringing innovations and taking new initiatives into the project and the organization.
3. Special tasks:
Carry out the task to enhance “Muktinath Foundation” as a partner in a community development to smoothen the development project implementation through private sector.
4. Modifications:
The terms of reference will be reviewed and can be modified with mutual consent and are to be confirmed in writing.
