Project areas:
The project will be implemented in the following provinces and districts;
- Lumbini Province: Banke, Bardiya, Dang, Pyuthan, Rukum (East), and Rolpa Districts.
- Sudur Paschim Province: Kailali, Kanchanpur, Doti, Dadeldhura, Baitadi, Bajhang, Achham, Bajura, and Darchula Districts.
Education Background:
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 3 years’ experience in training/capacity building in areas related to humanitarian accountability, disaster preparedness and disaster risk reduction; GESI, social norms change, Gender in Emergency(GiE), policy formulation.
- Demonstrated experience working with women led or women right organization, COB’s, diverse stakeholder, Three tiers of government and non-government stakeholders on related field.
Knowledge skills and competencies:
- Demonstrated expertise in designing capacity assessments, training modules, organizing and facilitating training and working with partners.
- Thorough understanding of emergency preparedness planning, LDCRP, Government of Nepal’s DRR act, policies, frameworks and guidelines and its mainstreaming concepts.
- Proven working experience in Humanitarian Partnership approach
- To have a training design and facilitation skills.
- Sound knowledge in Gender Equality, Diversity and women led in emergency(WLiE) approaches.
- Proven working experience in capacity building on the Emergency response, DRRM field particularly for the partners and government agencies with focus on gender and inclusive disaster response plan and policies.
- Thorough understanding of DRM policies and Response System, and ability to facilitate the process at municipality and sub-national levels to develop local DRM policies and strategy.
- Understanding of Government of Nepal’s periodic planning procedures, local, district and provincial level DRM structure and ability to facilitate the processes and linkages between local and sub-national government levels.
- Deep understanding of gender dynamics and the ability to integrate gender considerations into all aspects of humanitarian work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on practical solutions.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing environments and priorities in emergency settings.
- Expertise in humanitarian assistance and core humanitarian standards & principles.
- Proactive, analytical and problem solving.
- Ability to produce quality project documents
- High level of interpersonal skills and willingness to work in team under high pressure
- Good written and oral communication skills, in both Nepali and English.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
