Academic Qualification

• Bachelors’ Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience and Expertise

Task Related Competencies:

• At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in hydropower projects;
• Experience in hydropower projects design, design review, installation & commissioning of electromechanical works;
• Experience in O & M activities of hydropower plants shall be preferred;
• In depth knowledge of concepts and practices of electrical engineering;
• Proper understanding of the process of power production and electrical protection system;
• Fundamental knowledge of generators, motors, earthing system, switchyard equipment, transmission line and distribution;
• Basic idea of electrical sector of Nepal, NEA Grid codes and NEA regulatory laws;
• Ability to implement the concept of value engineering;
• Data analysis and interpretation skills;
• Software skills such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project and power flow analysis software;

Organizational and Management Competencies:

• Wide degree of creativity and problem solving skills;
• Innovative, reliable and good interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work under minimum supervision;
• Highly effective time management skills including the ability to multi-task and meet the deadlines;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Sound presentation skills (verbal, written as well as software based);
• Ability to analyze the data, and interpretation of outputs;
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change;
• Demonstrate commitment to learning, developing skills and sharing knowledge and information.
