Location: Province (Karnali, Sudurpaschim, Lumbini); based at Department of Meteorology office -Kohalpur/Kathmandu
Duration: May 2024 to April 2025 (with possibility of extension)
Reports to: Emergency and Anticipatory Action Lead
Professional experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in disaster risk reduction or response with knowledge on Forecast based Action/Anticipatory Action including Shock Responsive Social Protection
- Experience in designing and delivering of trainings for different stakeholders, government and non-government
- Knowledge on Early Warning Systems (EWS) and Climate and Weather Forecast
- Experience working on humanitarian response.
Education
- A bachelor’s Degree in social science, emergency response, hydrology, meteorology, environment science or in a relevant field.
