Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and financial reports for management review.
- Support in the coordination of audits and tax filings, liaising with external auditors and tax authorities as required.
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes and identify areas for cost optimization or revenue enhancement.
- Assist in the implementation of internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Provide administrative support to the finance department, including filing, correspondence, and document management.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and support cross-functional initiatives as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Semi-qualified Chartered Accountant/MBA with a focus on finance or accounting.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, taxation, bookkeeping, company law, and administration.
- Previous experience in the hydropower sector or project-related companies is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Nepalese accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
