RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES:
- Take responsibility (either directly or via staff) for all cash management, budgeting, and financial reporting, and help drive the organization’s financial strategy
- Coordinate development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as its proper reporting
- Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day book-keeping and accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization
- Ensure proper financial documentation for tax, audit and financial reporting purpose with proven track record of better coordination and compliance with governmental and non-governmental organizations
- Coordinate internal and external financial audit requirements from independent auditors and auditors assigned from the donor agencies
- Coordinate with HR, Operations unit and supporting staff to comply with the external service provider needs in terms of payroll, benefits, recruitment etc.
- Implement and timely update/upgrade the financial policies, procedures and directives and internal control mechanism of the organization in coordination with the senior managers
- Cross verifies (compliance and relevancy) all financial transactions done by project staff to meet the requirements of the organization and the donors
- Monitor financial performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for earnings calls, management team, and rest of organization.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of five years of professional experience in business accounting, or finance. (Master’s degree would be the added advantage for this position)
- Informed about industry trends, financial regulations, tax planning, financial management and documentation and best practices to make sound financial decisions
- Strong accounting software skills; experience with SaaS business models will be prioritized
- Exceptional leadership, time management, resource allocation, and facilitation skill
- Ready to travel frequently and perform field work whenever necessary.
- Excellent command over spoken Nepali and English languages.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
