Key Responsbilities:
- Conduct comprehensive site investigations, including soil and rock testing, subsurface exploration, and material sampling.
- Analyze geotechnical data to assess risks and provide design recommendations for foundations, embankments, retaining structures, and slopes for road and bridge projects.
- Design and review geotechnical solutions for complex engineering challenges, such as slope stabilization, soil improvement, and ground strengthening.
- Oversee the implementation of geotechnical solutions during the construction phase, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with civil and structural engineers to integrate geotechnical designs into the overall project plan.
- Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, technical documents, and design recommendations for contractors, clients, and regulatory authorities.
- Monitor and assess site conditions throughout the construction phase, providing ongoing recommendations for changes or improvements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
- Participate in risk assessments related to ground conditions and propose mitigation strategies.
- Advise project teams on suitable construction materials based on geotechnical analysis.
- Manage geotechnical engineering teams and provide mentoring and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
Qualification:
- Masters’ Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, specifically with road and bridge construction projects.
- Proven experience with soil testing, rock analysis, and material assessment.
- Ability to work in diverse geographical environments and challenging conditions.
