Project areas:

The project will be implemented in the following provinces and districts;

  • Lumbini Province: Banke, Bardiya, Dang, Pyuthan, Rukum (East), and Rolpa Districts.
  • Sudur Paschim Province: Kailali, Kanchanpur, Doti, Dadeldhura, Baitadi, Bajhang, Achham, Bajura, and Darchula Districts.

 

Educational Background:

  • A bachelor’s degree is often required in fields such as gender studies, social sciences, development studies, statistics, public administration, or a related field.
  • Additional training or certification in gender equality, social inclusion, data analysis, or related areas can enhance qualifications. This might include courses or certifications in gender mainstreaming, monitoring and evaluation, or data management systems.

 

Knowledge skills and competencies:

  • Experience working in gender equality, social inclusion, or data management roles is typically required. This includes experience in designing and implementing GESI strategies, analyzing data, and working with diverse communities.
  • Experience managing or supporting projects focused on gender equality, social inclusion, or data collection and analysis is highly relevant. This can include experience in program design, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Familiarity with the specific context or sector in which the NGO operates (e.g., health, education, humanitarian aid) can be valuable.
  • Deep understanding of gender and social inclusion issues, including the ability to design and implement strategies that address gender disparities and promote social equity.
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and management, including experience with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, Stata) and data visualization tools.
  • Skills in developing M&E frameworks, designing indicators, and evaluating program impact related to GESI.
  • Good understanding on harmful social norms and its effect of women’s voice and leadership, community acceptance of women leadership in humanitarian settings
  • Good analytical skills should have to the candidate to analyze the various Gender and GESI related issues linking with the humanitarian actions, which contribute to make more gender responsive and inclusive humanitarian actions
  • Strong knowledge on Guiding principle of GESI, GBV, and understanding and skills on safe and ethical data collection, storage and disseminations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present data, report findings, and advocate for GESI issues.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency with database management systems, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools. Familiarity with data collection methodologies and survey design is often required.
  • Ability to work respectfully and effectively with diverse communities and understand the cultural contexts that affect gender and social inclusion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges related to GESI and data management.
  • High attention to detail in data management and reporting to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Passion for advocating for marginalized groups and understanding their needs and challenges.
  • Awareness of legal and ethical considerations related to data privacy, protection, and the rights of individuals, particularly in sensitive or vulnerable populations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including government agencies, and other WLO/WRO and CBO/NGOs.
