Health Care Supervisor (for Night Duty)

• Plans, conducts daily and grand rounds for supervision and follow up of different departments.
• Involves in handover/takeover process during shift change of respective department, ensure handover/takeover of patient, drugs, consumables and equipments..
• Close supervision during night and early morning shift.
• Mobilize the staff as per the workload.
• Identify issues or emergencies and respond in a calm and efficient manner. Provide health education and counsel the patient as required.
• Accompany night management team while attending VIP patients/public figures/special visitors in hospital, document the same and report to matron.
• Document incidents in real time and escalate these to matron and area of risk management and how to raise concern policies. Ensure documentation and electronic data updates in every department.
• Monitor all patient care and treatment, especially in cardiac care unit, maintaining high standards and quality at all times.
• Coordinates between Matron and staff in all departments
• Creates safe environment to prevent accidents in the ward and follow standard nursing practices.
• Demonstrate strong leadership during duty hour and maintain professional relationship.
• Informs Matron immediately of any special emergencies or accidents in the hospital, and keeps a written record of any incidents
• Take appropriate and immediate disciplinary action for staff not available on duty without prior information, found having alcohol/drugs, or violating any rules and norms of hospital during duty hours.
• Carries out other duties assigned by the matron / medical director/ higher authority.
