Job Description:
The major role of this post will be involved in overseeing and managing the cleaning, maintenance, and repair activities within the institution.
- Housekeeping Operations: Supervise and coordinate the daily housekeeping Operations, including room cleaning, public area maintenance, laundry services, and waste management.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise housekeeping staff. Assign duties, schedule shifts, and conduct performance evaluations to ensure high- quality service delivery.
- Cleaning Standards: Establish and maintain cleaning standards, protocols, and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for guests, visitors, or employees.
- Inventory Control: Manage and monitor housekeeping supplies, equipment, and amenities to ensure adequate stock levels and timely replenishment.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Implement eco- friendly and sustainable practices to minimize the facility's environmental impact.
- Training: Organize training sessions for housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and guest service etiquette.
- Quality assurance: Conduct inspections to ensure that all areas meet the established cleanliness and hygiene standards. Address any issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Assist in preparing the housekeeping budget, monitor expenses, and identify health and safety regulations, as well as environmental and sanitation standards.
- Maintenance Scheduling: Plan and schedule routine maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs for the facility's infrastructure, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems.
- Preventive Maintenance: Implement a preventive maintenance program to reduce downtime, prevent breakdowns, and prolong the lifespan of equipment and facilities.
- Supervision: Oversee maintenance technicians or subcontractors, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely completion of repairs and projects.
- Record and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment servicing, and repair histories.
- Emergency Response: Be available for on-call or emergency situations to address urgent maintenance issues outside regular working hours.
