Required Qualifications and Experience:
Education
- University degree from an accredited academic institution in Medical (Clinical) Laboratory Sciences, Microbiology or a related discipline with four years’ relevant experience.
OR - Master’s degree from an accredited academic institution in Medical (Clinical) Laboratory Sciences, Microbiology or a related discipline with two years’ relevant experience.
Experience
- Four years of relevant laboratory experience in a busy institution, preferably in a laboratory.
- Proven management and organizational and planning skills.
- Experience in leading a team with supervisory role.
- Effectively applies and transfers relevant technical knowledge and practices to personnel and laboratory operations.
- Computer literate with understanding of data collection and analysis for monitoring and continuous improvement of laboratory services and performance.
- Excellent awareness of the laboratory role in health systems, optimal use of resources for quality and efficient services delivery.
- Experience working in a Laboratory settings with ability to make critical decisions.
- Experience working with UN agencies/INGOs will be an advantage.
Skills
- In depth knowledge of the broad range of migration related subject areas dealt with by the Organization; and,
- Knowledge of UN and bilateral donor programming.
- Knowledge of financial rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).
Languages:
Fluency in English and Nepali (oral and written).
