Line Controller (Chemist)

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Beverage product and Package quality parameters and ensure its compliance as per Quality norms and proper documentation and record keeping and timely product release as per protocol in SAP system
  • Daily reporting of line operation and statistical process control
  • Responsible to achieve the concentrate yield as per target and focus on productivity.
  • Verification of effectiveness of the preform inspection, closure inspection, finished bottle inspection & Label inspection system, Cobrix, also ensure proper record keeping and verification of process capability.
  • Verification of all line interlocks & divert test as per frequency & record keeping of them.
  • Responsible to Calibration of lab and process measuring instrument as per defined frequency. Coordinate the External Testing and Maintain records.
  • Responsible for monitoring and effective implementation of defined PRPs, OPRP and CCP as per HACCP
  • Ensure proper availability, storage & standardization of lab chemicals & tracking for expiry dates.
  • Responsible for conducting CIP/ COP as per matrix and ensure line GMP.
  • Proper upkeep of shelf-life samples & testing of samples as per protocol and support traceability exercise.
  • Ensure proper tracking, handling, segregation, storage in defined area & disposition of Non-Confirming Products
  • Conduct toolbox talk among shopfloor associates on Quality, Food safety and personnel hygiene.
  • Compliance to safety and environmental norms and use of basic PPE while at work
  • Engage self and team to meet QSE KPIs.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor's in food technology, microbiology, chemistry, or other science
  • At least 2-5 years of practical hands-on experience in production/relevant sector
  • Ability to handle responsibilities independently paying attention to details.
  • Ability to act quickly when problems arise.
  • Problem solving, critical thinking and creative thinking
  • Ability to work in a team with swift communication skill.
  • Agile and Adaptable to dynamics of the organization.
