Primary purpose of the position: The purpose of this position is to support LGs in Karnali Province and its Local Education Units to build their capacities on equity in education so that they can support head teachers, teachers and schools to apply equity policy in basic education in their municipality.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor´s level in education, sociology, or similar; special training courses in equity, gender equality, disability, multilingual intercultural education, or the kind; 
• At least five years of similar work experience in a relevant sector 
• Experience in working with disadvantaged groups; 
• Experience in capacity building; 
• Fluent in Nepali and English and conversant in at least one local language of Karnali. 

Skills:

• Good organization and planning skills 
• Experience working cross-culturally 
• Sensitivity towards gender, sexual, ethnic/race, cultural identities 
• Self-motivated person able to work with little supervision 
• Demonstrate commitment to teamwork with a high degree of integrity and confidentiality 
• Good computer skills.
