Job Description:

• Initiate/identify project work required in light of your trade throughout the hotel.
• Design of a preventative maintenance program.
• Use initiative and foresight to undertake tasks outlined within the preventative maintenance program.
• Be able to show flexibility to change the schedule in light of guest priorities.
• General building minor maintenance repairs.
• Carry out minor tiling or plumbing as directed.
• Ensure plant rooms are checked and cleaned and are in operating order.
• Carry pager and respond to requests from departments regarding minor maintenance issues throughout the day.
• Do a lighting check to ensure all globes are in working order.
• Investigate reported faults for laundry and kitchen equipment.
• Carry out any minor repairs to guest rooms or public areas.
• Liase directly with departments regarding the completion of work orders and prioritise in order of guest satisfaction.

Job Specification:

• Experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field.
• Familiarity with preventive and corrective maintenance practices for relevant systems.
• Proficiency in areas such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
• Understanding of tools and equipment commonly used in maintenance tasks.
