Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and devices within the hospital to ensure optimal functionality, safety, and efficiency. The Electrician must work in a fast-paced environment with minimal disruption to patient care and hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation: Install new electrical systems, equipment, and devices, including lighting, power outlets and air-condition.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on electrical systems, equipment, and devices to ensure optimal functioning.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues with electrical systems, equipment, and devices to minimize downtime and ensure patient safety.
- Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and devices to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as electrical outages or equipment malfunctions, to minimize disruption to patient care.
- Communication: Collaborate with other hospital staff, including nurses, doctors, and maintenance personnel to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Infection Control: Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and guidelines to prevent the spread of diseases.
- Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure that electrical systems, equipment, and devices are functioning safely and efficiently.
- Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by following safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and installations to ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
