Position Overview:
NIMJN is recruiting a managing editor position to edit and oversee the story production by our journalists. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge and experience in investigative multimedia story production, proofreading, and copy-editing, and be able to work with our team of journalists to deliver polished content.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has at least a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or English or any other social sciences (Master’s degree holders are preferred)
• Has proven work experience of at least 5 years as a managing editor, copy editor, or in a similar role
• Has a good grasp of investigative reporting, writing, and multimedia storytelling
• Is proficient in desktop publishing software and Microsoft Office
• Is familiar with SEO and multimedia best practices
• Has excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Has strong attention to detail, ability to work under tight deadlines, time management, and able to guide a team
• Is able to edit written content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency
