Job Description:

• Should be able to perform and analyse all tests and should also be able to check the accuracy of the results.
• Operate, calibrate and maintain equipment used in quantitative, semi quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Performs and reviews quality controls on testing and decides if results are within acceptable ranges and should be aware of accuracy of the results.
• Enter data from analysis of medical tests and clinical results into computer for storage and software.
• Set up, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Provide technical information about test results to clients.
• Supervise, train, and direct lab assistants, laboratory technician and other medical laboratory workers.
• Develop, standardize and evaluate tests used in the analysis of specimens and in medical laboratory experiments.
• Obtain, cut, stain, and mount biological material on slides for microscopic study and diagnosis, following standard laboratory procedures.
• Should help in other departments also when needed.
• Should help in maintenance of stock, inventory and record maintenance.
• Should verify reports.
• Should take responsibility of outsourcing tests.
• Should check pending work and should handover work before departure from duties.
