Education:

  • Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Statistics, International Development, Sociology, Social Sciences or other relevant area. Or
  • A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the area mentioned above in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.

 

Experience:

  • Applicants with a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field of study are not required to have professional work experience.
  • Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experiencein the field of monitoring, evaluation and reporting (M,E & R).
  • Proven experience of institutional capacity development related to monitoring, evaluation and reporting, preferably with sub-national governments or with other well recognized national institutions and/or international agencies is required
  • Skills of coordinating with different stakeholders and facilitating discussions.
  • Strong written and presentation skills for preparing quality reports, briefs, and other knowledge products.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.) and web-based management and analytical tools
  • Additional experience in the above area will be an added advantage.
  • Good experience on the applications for data management, data quality/analysis and monitoring.
  • Experience in designing monitoring and evaluation systems and designing development projects/programme or integrated portfolios.
  • Skills in carrying out review/analysis.
  • Knowledge of conducting baselines and assessment.
  • Experience on capacity building on monitoring and evaluation.
  • Experience of monitoring and reporting within the GoN, UN system and/or international development partners is a considerable advantage.
  • Experience to work with quantitative and qualitative data and using qualitative data /information collection tools in innovative ways is desired.

 

Required Languages:

  • Fluency in English and Nepali language is required.
  • Knowledge of any other national language will be an added advantage.
