Contract Duration: 6 months (with the possibility of extension)

Education: Advanced university degree (master’s or equivalent) in economics, agro-industrial development, industrial engineering, business administration, food science and technology, or other relevant disciplines with specialization in agri-value chain management/ beekeeping/ apiculture/ agri-/ food processing, is required.

Technical and functional experience:

• At least three (3) years of professional experience in the implementation of technical cooperation/ development projects at national level is required.
• Experience in capacity building and technical advisory roles, preferably in the agricultural or food processing sectors, is required.
• Strong understanding of national and international standards related to honey production and trade is required.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-stakeholder environment required.
• Experience in evaluating the needs, conditions and problems of the country or similar country in the regions is desirable.
• Experience in working with government and development agencies including the United Nations agencies in the country or similar country in the region, is desirable.
• Demonstrated awareness and sensitivity regarding gender issues in development projects desirable.

Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Fluency and/or working knowledge of Hindi and/or Nepali is required.
