Job Description:
- Lead and Drive Troubleshooting on Customer reported issues
- Be an escalation point for L2 support groups within the organization
- Plan, configure and deployment of BNGs in different parts of the country
- Take ownership of problem resolution, problem reproduction and escalation
- Be a fast learner and keep pace with newer technologies
- Participate in cross-functional tasks such as new product development projects, create Knowledge Base and Whitepapers
- Help improve processes and tools
- Should be available at any time during major outages
- Should be flexible with working on shifts.
Primary Skills required:
Good understanding of –
- IP Packet flow, OSI layers
- Ethernet, PPP, PPPoE, DHCP, IPoE
- Layer 3 – IP and related technologies (ICMP, TCP, GRE, QoS, VRRP)
- IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS)
- AAA and related protocols such as Radius, Diameter
- In-depth knowledge of IPv6 routing.
Prefer to have expertise in one or more areas –
- MPLS, VPLS, L2 and L3 VPN
- FTTH and ODN Network
- Working experience with Linux, FreeBSD, and Scripting languages (Python, Tcl, Perl).
Experience:
Requires B.E. in Electronics/Engineering or Computer Science ( or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the Networking Industry.
Following candidates having any of the following experience will be preferred and minimum experience criteria may not apply –
- 2+ years of extensive JUNOS experience OR
- 3+ years’ experience in Troubleshooting large Service Provider networks.
- Platform Knowledge: Juniper (routers, firewalls), Cisco, Huawei, Nokia, Mikrotik, Meraki.
Preferred Certifications – JNCIA / JNCIS / JNCIP / CCNA / CCNP and other equivalent.
