Education: Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Social or Political Sciences, Public Administration, Local Development or related field is required; or
A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years (with master’s degree) or 4 years (with bachelor’s degree) of relevant experience in development project or programme management, in the field of governance and/or local governance.
• Proven experience in developing partnerships with a range of development actors including donors, government, and civil society organizations will be desirable.
• Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation of development projects, and risk management will be an asset.
• Experience of use of data in programme implementation, across the data lifecycle will be an asset.
• Experience in use of computers and office software packages, good knowledge and experience in handling web-based management systems is required.
• Proven experience in Programme management including the planning and implementation in a tight deadline following compliant practices will be an asset.
• Experience of integrating gender and social inclusion in the project activity will be an asset.

Language:

• Fluency in English and Nepali is required.
