Position Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in management, international relations, international development, political science or related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in international development or related field. Previous work with United States Government (USG)-funded projects preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
  • Experience with accounting software preferred.
  • Excellent skills in writing, research, financial management, communications, and interpersonal relations.
  • Knowledge of Nepal’s finance rules and donor agencies’ financial compliances.
  • Fluency in English and Nepali.

 

Primary Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Provide support with IRI’s in-country office administrative and financial tasks.
  • Contribute to drafting and maintaining relevant program documentation.
  • Contribute to program reports, including summarizing and analyzing program activities.
  • Provide support with program management, ensuring objectives are met and activities comply with IRI and donor regulations.
  • Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets, processing invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports, ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, and support internal and external audits.
  • Support monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL), including data collection and analysis.
  • Support the organization, facilitation, and logistics of meetings with partner organizations, government officials and ministries, and other key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the preparation and presentation of implementation plans, budgets, and reporting requirements as required by donors.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or better in Political Science or related field.

 

Experience:
