Project areas:

The project will be implemented in the following provinces and districts;

• Lumbini Province: Banke, Bardiya, Dang, Pyuthan, Rukum (East), and Rolpa Districts.
• Sudur Paschim Province: Kailali, Kanchanpur, Doti, Dadeldhura, Baitadi, Bajhang, Achham, Bajura, and Darchula Districts.

Educational Background:

• A bachelor’s degree is often required. Relevant fields include social work, Disaster Risk Management, public administration, international relations, nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field.

Knowledge skills and competencies:

• Experience in project management, program coordination and collaboration, or a related field is usually required. This can include experience working in NGOs, community organizations, or in roles that involve coordinating activities, managing budgets, and working with diverse stakeholders.
• To have strong knowledge on Disaster risk reduction and management and gender in emergency (DRRM&GiE).
• Well informed on government DRRM act and policies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with stakeholders, writing reports, and creating program materials.
• Proficiency in organizing tasks, managing multiple responsibilities, and maintaining attention to detail.
• Understanding and respecting cultural differences, particularly if the NGO operates in diverse or international settings.
• Ability to assess program effectiveness, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team, manage volunteers, and work collaboratively.
• Capacity to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement effective strategies.
• Flexibility to work in dynamic environments and adapt to changing needs and priorities.
• Familiarity with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite), project management tools, and database management systems.
