Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, ensure and provide support for timely implementation of Global Fund COVID-19 RM TA activities with high quality.
  • Provide TA to HCD and entities for HIV, TB and Malaria and Provincial Health Directorates (PHD) for the implementation of GF C19 RM TA activities.
  • To conduct regular review, planning and coordination meetings, in collaboration with HCD/MOHP and entities for HIV, TB and Malaria at the federal level to review programming from different EDPs and identify the most critical needs and gaps on technical and financial resources, policy/planning, implementation and monitoring and will work to develop remediation plans.
  • Regularly participate in various coordination meetings including Health and Logistics clusters organized for discussion on COVID-19 response for alignment with national plan and priorities and coordination with stakeholders working in COVID-19 response.
  • Prepare program reports (such as monthly/quarterly/annual/end of project), briefs and other communication and reporting requirements for Government of Nepal, FHI 360/EpiC and donors.
  • Ensure that all programmatic reporting is accurate, timely and meets Government, EpiC Nepal Project, FHI 360 and donor requirements.
  • Provide support and guidance to ensure that country program of GF C19 RM TA activities is conducted as planned, targets and technical requirements are met, and deliverables completed in accordance with requirements.
  • Facilitate and ensure supportive supervision and monitoring are regularly planned and implemented and ensure issues and actions identified from the supervision visits are shared and addressed in time.
  • Provide oversight to supervise the day-to-day work of the Logistics Supply Chain Manager, SI/M&E Manager and Administration units of GF C19 RM TA activities,
  • Review project’s progress tracking on regular basis and ensure that the project’s achievements are on track. Ensure routine project data are regularly analyzed, visualized, and used for program improvement.
  • Work with HCD/MOHP, relevant EpiC Nepal Project and FHI 360 staff for communications and public relations to coordinate publications, documentation and dissemination of Project activities, successes, good practices, and lessons learned.
  • Ensure effective management and monitoring of program through field visits as per the guidance of HCD/MOHP.
  • Perform other Government and EpiC Nepal Project-related duties as assigned by the Focal Person of HCD/MoHP and EpiC Nepal Project Director or FHI 360 Nepal Country Director.

 

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or its international equivalent in public health, management, social science, or other relevant fields, along with three to four years of experience in managing large, complex service delivery projects with the government.
  • Track record of responsibility to oversee all aspects of donor-supported projects, including financial, human resource, compliance, and quality assurance components as well as annual work planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Government of Nepal’s and GF’s relevant rules, regulations, policy, procedures, and plan.
  • Experience in working effectively across various teams within the project and organization, and building and sustaining positive working relationships with NGOs, private sectors, government, and other stakeholders.
  • Proactive in managing multiple tasks, managing, and working in virtual work environment, and flexible and open for managing time for working with different teams in different time zones as needed.
  • Ability to work independently on several tasks with minimal supervision and ability to work with multiple stakeholders including different departments, divisions, and centers of MOHP.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, team building and management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written English and Nepali including documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite Applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel to the field 20-30 percent of the time.
