Other Specification:
- A Masters degree in Public Health or a related Social Science field with at least one year of relevant work experience is required. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least two years of experience may also be considered.
- A minimum of two years of experience working on CSE and SRHR projects, with a technical understanding of CSE and SRHR components, is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of national and international laws related to disability, including UNCRPD, SDGs, the Act Relating to Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and the Constitution of Nepal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is necessary.
- The ideal candidate should be energetic, proactive, and willing to take risks, with a desire to continuously learn. Effective communication and collaboration skills with individuals from diverse backgrounds are essential.
- Fluency in English and Nepali is required. Knowledge of sign language is preferred.
- Prior experience working with diverse groups, including children and young people with disabilities, and the LGBTIQ+ community, is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project documentation, such as work plans, budgets, reports and case stories, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and values.
- Manage relationships with project partners and stakeholders, including government agencies, civil society organizations, organizations of persons with disabilities, community groups, government officials, donors, and bilateral/multilateral partners.
- Lead the project and coordinate with government agencies, particularly the Curriculum Development Center, Center for Education and Human Resource Development, Department of Health Services, and other relevant agencies and civil society organizations. Ensure activities align with the organization’s CSE priorities.
- Oversee the design and dissemination of CSE-related IEC materials in accessible formats for awareness and advocacy.
- Design and conduct CSE-related training and orientation sessions, ensuring the quality of training for individuals with disabilities and for parents/teachers of children and young people with disabilities.
- Work closely with media agencies to promote positive change regarding disability issues related to CSE and SRHR.
- Ensure proper documentation and timely reporting.
- Coordinate with the government agencies, CSOs and OPDS to prioritize CSE/SRHR issues in the CSE/SRHR/disability movement and ensure the information, education and services are disability inclusive.
