Duration Open-ended subject to organizational requirements, availability of funds and/or satisfactory performance.

Education:

  • Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) preferably in Business Administration, Political Science, International Relations, Engineering, Procurement, or related fields is desired.
  • A first-level university degree with a relevant combination of academic qualifications and 2 additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

 

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in projects/programmes is required;
  • Proven capacity to interact with a variety of stakeholders, including governmental and non-governmental partners, other UN agencies, and international donors is desirable;
  • Experience in writing comprehensive and is desirable.

 

Language:

  • Fluency in English and Nepali is required.

Terms and Conditions:

  • For staff positions only, UNOPS reserves the right to appoint a candidate at a lower level than the advertised level of the post.
  • For retainer contracts, you must complete a few mandatory courses ( they take around 4 hours to complete) in your own time, before providing services to UNOPS. Refreshers or new mandatory courses may be required during your contract. Please note that you will not receive any compensation for taking courses and refreshers.
