Required Skills and Experience

Education:

• Master’s degree in Environment Management, Climate Change, Natural Resource Management, or related field
• Bachelor’s degree with 2 additional years of experience will be given due consideration in lieu of Master’s degree.

Experience:

• Masters with 2 years and Bachelors with 4 years of professional work experience at the national level in climate change, environment sector or other relevant programmes; experience working with government and CSO (Civil Society Organization) is an asset
• Knowledge of climate change especially Nationally Determined Contribution, Long Term Strategy for Net Zero Emission, Monitoring Reporting Verification/ Enhanced Transparency Framework
• Experience of working with Climate Change Management Division, Ministry of Forests and Environment
• Project Management for quality and timely delivery
• Excellent analytical and writing skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Proven experience in overseeing and ensuring technical soundness of research and analysis
• Prior experience with UNDP, I/NGOS and knowledge of its policies, procedures and practice is an asset.
• Well versed in computer applications like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and
• Good report writing skill is highly preferable.

Required Languages:

• Fluency in oral and written English and Nepali is essential.
