Safer Migration (SaMi) Programme is a bilateral initiative between the Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland. It is implemented by the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security and 156 participating local governments. Helvetas Nepal provides technical assistance to the program on behalf of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

Province Program Manager, Bagmati Province 

Job Purpose: Province Program Manager is overall responsible for the quality assurance of the Safer Migration Programme in Bagmati Province. The position will maintain excellent coordination and communication between all concerned stakeholders in federal, provincial and local government for the effective execution of program activities as well as to engage with province and local governments for institutionalization of safer migration programme.

Required Education, Experience and Social Competence: 

- Master’s degree in Social Science, Public Administration, Development Studies or in a relevant field.

- Minimum 7 years of work experience in project/program implementation with at least 3 years of experience in similar position/s. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion and poverty reduction and sensitivity towards migrant workers and their families.

Duty Station: Program Support Unit, Safer Migration Programme, Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation Nepal, Lalitpur with about 70% of time in field visits.
