Job Description

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in line with the National Curriculum and instructional materials for teaching English language and literature to secondary level students.
  • Foster a deep understanding of English grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing skills, and literary analysis among students.
  • Encourage a love for reading, critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication skills among students.
  • Observing, guiding, supervising, and assessing children while they learn in the classroom environment.
  • Creating and maintaining a safe, clean, stimulating classroom where all children feel safe and valued.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes active participation and student engagement.
  • Setting an excellent example for students and instilling good values in them like honesty, accountability, understanding, tolerance, respect, love, and kindness.
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress and writing up reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and school administration to align teaching strategies and ensure a cohesive educational experience for students.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated with educational trends and best practices.
  • Perform other duties related to teaching and learning activities as and when assigned by the school authority.
