Position reports to: Program Director

 

Required qualifications and Skills:

  •  Master’s degree in social sciences, Statistics, Management or any other relevant field with minimum 3 years of work experience.
  •  Experience in designing, implementing, and operating project M&E systems from project initiation to closeout stages.
  •  Demonstrated experience of working with diverse team within and outside the organization to implement the project;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and with cultural sensitivity in writing and verbally with government, donors, partners, civil society and diverse group of people.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Nepali and English languages.
  • Excellent Knowledge of MS office Package, SPSS.
  • Having a driving license for a motorbike or scooter will be an advantage.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

The key duty and responsibilities of the position will be as listed below;

  • Conduct monitoring, inspection and evaluation of the project and the logical framework;
  • Establish and maintain a project monitoring database system
  • Monitor the status of project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving the project output;
  • Collect data on a regular basis to measure achievement against the performance indicators and evaluating its sustainability;
  • Conduct baseline, end line survey including research activities ensuring GESI compliance.
  • Provide feedback to the Project Manager on project strategies and activities;
  • Suggesting strategies to the Project Management for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks; for beneficiary and community selection.
  • Reporting monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on project activities to the Project management team;
  • Collecting and analyzing the data and providing inputs, information and statistics for quarterly, annual and other reports to Project Management Team;
  • Conduct verification and data quality assessment to maintain the data reliability;
  • Document progress of field activities and notify the project manager on issues and concerns that require immediate attention;
  • Ensure GESI compliance on field level Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) activities, data collection, success cases, learning and challenges in MEL.

  • Performing any other duties, as necessary and instructed by the line manager.

 

Duration: The duration of the position will for one year with possible extension.
