Responsibilities:
- Designing solar PV systems, including layout, sizing, and component selection, to meet project requirements and maximize energy production.
- Conducting site assessments to evaluate the feasibility of solar installations, considering factors such as shading, orientation, and structural integrity.
- Collaborating with project managers, electricians, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of solar PV projects, from concept to completion.
- Performing technical analyses, such as shading analysis, energy yield estimation, and financial modeling, to optimize system performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Overseeing the installation, commissioning, and testing of solar PV systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve any issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
- Staying informed about advancements in solar PV technology and industry best practices, and integrating new innovations into our design and engineering processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy sector. Preference will be given to candidate with experience in solar PV system design, installation, and/or maintenance.
- Proficiency in PV system design software like PVsyst, Helioscope and AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, including AC/DC circuits, inverters, and power electronics.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards, such as NEA grid code, IEEE, and IEC.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional engineering licensure (PE) or willingness to obtain licensure within [X] years of employment.
