Other Specification:

  • Experience: 10 years or more in the field of Environment especially biodiversity.
  • Education: Master’s /Bachelor’s in Environmental Science, Environment Engineering, Biodiversity, Forestry, or related field.
  • Duty Station: Kathmandu with more than 50% travel to the project site or as per Company need.
  • Proactive and Good communication and reporting skills in English
  • Willing to travel and Stay at Site.
  • Willing to work independently with the least technical upon from the senior management.
  • Self-perpetuating with a high sense of responsibility.

 

Job Description:

  • Lead preparation and implementation of the Biodiversity Management Plan (BMP) and Biodiversity Evaluation and Monitoring Plan (BEMP)
  • Monitor, plan, and execute compliance with Project requirements under the Environment and Social Action Plan (ESAP) and prepare corrective actions as needed.
  • Document, and oversee implementation of Project Environmental and Social Management and Monitoring Plan (ESMMP) including Owner ESMMP and Contractor ESMMP
  • Support planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of environmental and Social Management activities outline in EIA-EMP and ESIA, BMP and BEMP.
  • Assist the E&S Team in carrying out impact assessments to identify, assess, and reduce the organization's environmental risks and financial costs owing to risk-associated
  • Assist the team in ensuring compliance with Environmental and Social Performance Standards adopted by the project.
  • Develop guidelines, tools, and notes for effective monitoring of project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Monitor achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to Project performance and update as necessary.
  • Monitor the Environmental and Social performance of Project contractors, and program activities and responsible for coordination, collection, and compilation of data regularly(weekly/monthly/quarterly/annually)
  • Prepare and submit technical reports as per Government and lenders requirements and ensure financial progress reports are matched with technical project reports.
  • Support collaboration with key stakeholders, such as District and National stakeholders, to effectively execute the provisions under the Leasehold agreements related to land offsetting, forest clearance, etc.
  • Work closely with Employer Representatives E&S specialists and HSE specialists in the development of tools to effectively monitor the contractor's performance on biodiversity conservation under key contractor ESMMPs requirements.
