Job Description:
- Maintain accurate records of all construction materials and equipment in the site's inventory.
- Receive and inspect incoming construction materials and equipment.
- Identify and report damaged, defective, or incorrect items to the procurement or construction management team.
- Properly store construction materials and equipment to prevent damage, spoilage, or theft.
- Implement appropriate inventory rotation methods, such as first-in, first-out (FIFO), as needed.
- Process requests for materials and equipment from various construction teams or departments.
- Prepare items for distribution, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and labeling.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns.
- Generate regular reports on inventory levels, usage, and trends for construction management.
- Monitor construction materials and equipment levels to prevent shortages and overstocking.
- Keep construction management informed of any potential supply issues that could impact the project's progress.
- Ensure that construction materials meet quality and safety standards.
- Report any quality issues to supervisors, quality control personnel, or procurement.
- Implement security measures to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access to the storage area.
- Collaborate with various construction teams and departments to understand their inventory needs and priorities.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding deliveries, discrepancies, and returns.
- Ensure that construction equipment, such as forklifts, cranes, or hoists, is well-maintained and in good working condition.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
