Qualifications and Qualities:

• Individuals with undergraduate engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, Power, etc.
• At least 2 years of experience in the electricity in areas such as hydropower, renewable energy, electric mobility, electric cooking, etc.
• Habit of regularly staying informed about Nepal’s electricity sector developments.
• Willingness to explore and contribute to various aspects of Nepal's electricity sector.
• A strong affinity for developing original, well-researched content that reflects in-depth analysis and insight.
• Optimistic with a problem-solving attitude and a strong sense of integrity.
• Dependable and showing sense of greater responsibility.
• Seeking long-term growth opportunities in Nepal and the South Asian region.

Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, Google Sheets, and similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of presentation and visualization tools such as Power BI, Visio, Canva, and MS PowerPoint.
• Excellent command of both English and Nepali, both verbal and written.
• Ability to research new information and conduct self-study on a wide range of electricity-related topics.
• Analytical skills.

Job Responsibilities:

The jobs responsibilities for the candidate shall include, but not be limited to, the following;

• Conduct primary and secondary research on various areas pertaining electricity to provide inputs to various knowledge products such as research articles, discussion papers, concept notes, etc.
• Perform fact checks, verifications, due diligence, etc. on information gained or submitted.
• Take classes and presentations, etc. as a part of discussion sessions aimed at capacity building of professionals of varying level of experiences.
• Conduct gap assessments and need assessments of various aspects pertaining to electricity and energy.
• Contribute to study and analysis on technical, policy, regulatory and market aspects of electricity to provide recommendations to clients.
• Prepare draft of reports, proposals, presentations, articles, success stories, etc.

Note: The duration of employment shall be 6 months.
