Purpose: Provide professional work exposure to fresh graduates by providing guided work opportunity from the senior staff of LRBSU. Get hands-on skills on motorable bridges survey, design, investigation, construction supervision.

Qualification: Fresh Graduates completing Bachelors in Civil Engineering after December 2022 holding Nepal Engineering Council License, having keen learning attitude, sense of responsibility and sensitivity towards multicultural environment. Not employed full-time professionally or no prior job experience required.

Duration: 6 months (potentially from December 2024 to May 2025).

Duty station: Provincial offices of LRBSU with frequent travel to the bridge sites.

Major Roles and Responsibilities:
The Trainee Engineer will acquire in depth knowledge, skills and experience in motorable bridge building and she will be responsible to assist LRBSU staff for:

• Ensuring that provincial governments (PGs) construct motorable bridges assuring quality
• Supporting PGs and their staff by co-working together in PG offices
• Planning, bridge survey, design, estimate, construction, monitoring and supervision, quality control and quality assurance of motorable bridges
  It is mandatory for the selected trainees to complete the full traineeship programme.
