Education:

• Advanced university degree (master’s Degree or equivalent) in Rural Development, Education, Political Science, Social Science, Management or any other related fields. Or
• A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the area mentioned above in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Experience:

• Up to 2-years (with master´s degree) or minimum of 2 years (with bachelor´s degree) of working experience in development and governance with focus on capacity development and in the area of sub-national governance, or with well recognized national institution and/or international agency.
• Additional experience in the above area will be an added advantage.
• Good adult training experience and capacity building knowledge.
• Experience in facilitating coordination and dialogue among different stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to undertake independent desk research and good writing skills.
• Proven experience and sound understanding of the sustainable development goals (SDGs) and their implications to the local governance.
• Proven experience in good coordination and facilitating skills.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.) and web-based management and analytical tools
• Experience of working in government, UN and/or international agencies will be preferable.
• Experience & knowledge on preparing quality reports and other knowledge products is preferable.
• Experience in conducting research, synthetize information gathered to develop analysis, generate data and charts from available information is desirable.

Required Languages:

• Fluency in English and Nepali language is required.
• Knowledge of any national languages of the above duty station will be an added advantage.
