Major Roles and Responsibilities:
- Identify high volume and high margin products / services and their vendors
- Develop and implement vendor selection criteria and processes to ensure that vendors meet our quality, cost, and delivery requirements
- Research and identify the best suppliers for products and other productsof future to ensure that you obtain quality products at the most competitive prices.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors, and establish mutually beneficial relationships that maximize value and minimize risk
- Monitor vendor performance against service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs), and take corrective actions as needed
- Ensure best price guarantee
- Manage/ coordinate compensation for the BPG (best price guarantee0 with the vendor and ensure customer confidence and satisfaction
- Manage the vendor onboarding process, ensuring that new vendors are properly vetted and meet our standards for quality, safety, and sustainability
- Review and analyze daily and weekly reports to check service levels and inventory turns, make necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, finance, and operations, to ensure that vendor relationships align with our business goals and strategies
- Analyze market trends and vendor performance data to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and innovation
- Conduct regular vendor audits and assessments to ensure compliance with our policies and standards, including ethical and social responsibility requirements
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with key vendors and liaison between them and our internal teams
- Communicate vendor-related information and metrics to senior management as needed
- Coordinate with warehouse operations to maintain the proper product flow through the facility in time.
