Key Responsibilities:
- Always greet and welcome guests promptly in a warm and friendly manner.
- Good knowledge of the menu and presentation standards.
- Speak with guests and staff using clear and professional language and answer phone calls using appropriate telephone etiquette.
- Ability to anticipate unexpected guest needs and react promptly and tactfully.
- Apply service techniques correctly and serve Food & Beverage items with enthusiasm.
- Set tables according to type of event and service standards.
- Record transactions/ orders in Point of Sales systems at the time of order.
- Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, any additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests.
- Take feedback from guests to ensure satisfaction with the meal and service.
- Responsible for clearing, collecting and returning food and beverage items to the designated area.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc. throughout the shift.
- Review K.O.T ensuring accurate and timely preparations for order requirements.
- Present accurate final bill to guest and process payment.
- Ensure that hotel brand standards and SOP's are consistently implemented.
- Any other duties related to food and beverage service assigned by the Supervisor.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Preferably BHM/ diploma in culinary arts with 2-3 years’ experience in similar position.
- Organizing and leadership skills
- A good team player with the ability to handle pressure and work during odd hours
- Positive and pleasant attitude
- Excellent communication
- Creative, innovative and self-motivated with strong commitment to teamwork and customer service.
